What’s your birth story?

Hey Mama, welcome to Par Avion Doula. Here I write about the real life experiences of transitioning into motherhood, and the immense self discovery that is revealed in pregnancy and parenting. I began travel writing as an exchange student in Paris. I needed an outlet and communication link to home, as I discovered my place in the world. I fell in love with language, the idea that we are all travelers, all on a path of self discovery. For the first time, I began to see writing as a not just a past time, but a part of experiencing life fully, connecting one’s inner world with the external, to pause…….and embrace the beauty in every day experiences.

In 2006 I started “Aviatrice Life,” about my experiences flying in the United States Air Force. From there, I continued to chronicle life’s evolving seasons as it handed me the opportunity, such as my pregnancies and parenting triumphs with “Bienvenue Monroe Laine” and “Bonjour Bébé Greer”. It is fitting, that I am now here at “Par Avion Doula,” to once again capture the heart of this work in written form. For what I know is this, no matter what anyone says in life, you get to decide your story. And you my love, were meant to FLY!
